About the Library

The H.T. Parekh Library at Krea University is a dynamic knowledge and learning resource centre that supports the academic, research and intellectual pursuits of students, research scholars, faculty and the wider university community. The library plays a pivotal role in enriching Krea University's interdisciplinary and liberal education model through its philosophy of Interwoven Learning.

The library carries a legacy of over five decades, rooted in IFMR since 1970 and continuing under Krea University since 2018. It serves the Graduate School of Business (GSB), the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS) and Krea's research centres. The library spans 797 square metres (8,579 sq ft) across two floors: 310 m² (3,337 sq ft) on the ground floor and 487 m² (5,242 sq ft) on the first floor. Recognised as a well-stocked university library in Andhra Pradesh, it offers a modern, technology-enabled and learner-centric environment that encourages discovery, innovation, collaboration and lifelong learning.

The collection includes 39,790+ print books, 11+ print newspapers, 39+ print magazines, 40+ print journals, 12+ theses, 368+ e-books, 10+ e-newspapers, 22+ e-magazines, 12+ e-journals, 40+ databases and e-resources, and 950+ audio-visual materials. Users can reach subscribed research databases including Web of Science, Scopus, Bloomberg Terminal, EBSCO, CMIE, Statista, DELNET, JSTOR, J-Gate, CIAO, CEIC, EMIS, ICSD, PRIMEINFOBASE, ScienceDirect, IndiaStat, EPWRF India Time Series, Project MUSE, MathSciNet, Emerald, ProQuest, PRIME CB, Nature, The Ken, Financial Times, ET Prime, The Wall Street Journal, The Hindu and The New York Times.

The library is fully automated with the Koha (version 26.05.01) Integrated Library Management System and uses RFID technology and Wi-Fi. Services include the Web OPAC, circulation, 24×7 book return, digital resource access, research support, and three reading halls seating 150+ users.

The Refread-powered e-Library is the digital access point for subscribed learning and research resources, including off-campus access. The library also supports institutional repository services, research information management, scholarly communication, information literacy and academic integrity.

The H.T. Parekh Library serves 2,100+ students, faculty members, research scholars and staff, supported by a dedicated library team. Under the leadership of Dr. Premkumar, Deputy Librarian and In-Charge of the University Library, it continues to strengthen its collections, technology and research support, advancing Krea University's commitment to interdisciplinary education, academic excellence and research-led learning.
